Torrenueva is a very popular area adjoining the village of La Cala de Mijas with its award winning beaches and traditional village charm. The apartment is close to Jardin Botanico which has lots to offer for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For Breakfast you will find Snack Attack which also has an internet café and is very popular with locals and holiday makers, Bar Tuta and La Bodequita are popular evening venues for drinks. There are lots of restaurants to choose from. The Resort Office for the apartment La Cala Blue can book excursions for you and arrange taxi transfers to and from the apartment.

The apartment is within walking distance to the shops and amenities in La Cala de Mijas, the village offers a wide selection of bars and restaurants and local shops. There are supermarkets and bakeries for fresh supplies for the fridge. There are several not to be missed places. for dining, including Konfusion, El Gusto, Pura Asia, Meson Los Naranjos and Venta Sorroche for cheap local fare and some great fish restaurants on the beach.

There are frequent bus services to Marbella and Fuengirola and from there you can connect to Malaga, Seville and Madrid.

The village of La Cala is very popular but retains its charm, you can still see the fishing boats on the beach and then mingle with the locals in the bars and restaurants. There are plenty of supermarkets, and local shops and a market every Wednesday and Saturday. Nightlife can be found at the glitzy Olivia’s la Cala venue and live entertainment at Legends, all easy to locate.

The beach at La Cala seems to stretch forever and has a boardwalk all the way into Riviera so you can stroll along the beach.
